Bear with me that I may speak; then after I have spoken, you may mock…” – Job 21:3

Yet another day breaks with me leaning on the window as the cool morning breeze slaps my face
And we’re still here, in the lockdown hoping for a better outcome of the coming phase
This whole narrative just seems overwhelming and still more like a dream
Could we just hit the reset button and go back to when life was full of the beam?
Mind over body, body over the soul; which is of more concern to keep fit and stay woke?
Cos the news makes it a lot more unbearable to keep up with life – this is no joke!
This is war! And if anybody tells you otherwise, tell the devil to get behind thee
For this is war and with war comes a lot of hard choices and sacrifice from you and me

We are in a psychological warfare for our minds and a spiritual warfare for our souls
There’s still a whole lot we can do with 243 days left in 2020 and still achieve common goals
I’m not here to caress your minds about my personal beliefs and conclusion on what I presume
I just want you to understand that you’re not alone in this and it’s not all gonna be gloom
The common goal here now is to stand united and stay alive as we weather the storm
For this too shall pass. Though it tarries a little bit longer which shouldn’t be the norm
Remember that God rules in the affairs of men no matter how unnatural the events unfold
His perfect will shall forever prevail and all the glory will be His as He is highly extolled

If Christ hanging on the cross could cry out to the Father, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Being one who knew no sin, yet hung for all humanity; we, born of and in sin should wail in plea
He suffered as we do too; for it is a necessary part of life for the flesh to pass through tribulations
But God gives us tools and the ability to walk through it with strength and grace for our jubilations
‘A servant is not greater than his master,’ if they persecuted me, they will persecute you also –John 15:20
Blessed are those persecuted because of righteousness, theirs is the kingdom of heaven – Matt. 5:10
Remember this is war, the headquarters being the Heavenlies while the battlefield is our minds

We must equip ourselves for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but powers and rulers of darkness
For we’ve called out of darkness into His marvelous light to shine forth to cure the world’s blindness
It calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who are faithful and keeping His commandments
We are not here for comfort as God is far more concerned about our character than our comfort
All we can do is try to find joy amid all these adversities, trusting God at the end of the day
Put on the whole armor of God to protect you as you fight against the evil strategies of the evil one
For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage
You must wear the armor God provides as you confront the slanderer for you are destined for all things
And will rise victorious. For we are not of this world but travelling through it only for a while

If you were of the world, it would love you as its own, instead the world hates you, because you are not of the world but I have chosen you out of the world. – John 15:19
